Duo Millenia

Audiences and presenters have unanimously lauded Duo Millenia's performances. They have been featured in North American and European music festivals including the Arkansas SymphonyÕs Music in the Heights chamber music series, the Music Festival of the Grand Prairie, the Cool Music for a Hot Summer music series in Hot Springs Arkansas, and a featured performance at the 2005 World Harp Congress in Dublin Ireland. They have performed guest recitals at universities such as the University of Central Akansas, Ouachita Baptist University and Hendrix College.

Recital programs include both duo and solo repertoire. Drawing from many musical periods Duo Millenia performs baroque, classical, romantic and modern works as well as original compositions by John Dahlstrand. They also offer theme-based Arts Outreach programs designed for grades k-6 in which children are exposed to these fascinating instruments. Program themes include "The Sounds of Music" and "When Two Musicians Meet".

Scheduling this ensemble is easy and surprisingly affordable. Duo Millenia is registered on exclusive performing arts registries. The Arkansas Arts on Tour and the Mid-America Arts Alliance provide grant opportunities that can cut performance fees up to 45 percent in some cases.
