The Little Rock Masterclasses were again a success for a 3rd year! This year bass players ranging in age from 12 to 56 performed Bach, Dragonetti and Capuzzi. Harpists performed Grandjany, Salzedo, Dussek and more. Classes during the week long event focused on player's technique as well as organized practice time (getting more out of the time you have). As well as daily masterclasses John Dahlstrand and Elisabeth Chardonnet (the hosts of the event private instruction was given to everyone involved. A highlight of the week was Duo Millenia's double bass and harp recital held at the beautiful and historic Cathedral of Saint Andrew in downtown Little Rock. The students capped off a very productive week of practice with the Grand Finale Recital held at Byrne Hall at the Diocese of Little Rock on Saturday June 21.
